Medjugorje & the Spiritual Treasures of Herzegovina

May 7 - 15, 2027

Međugorje

DATES

May 7 - 15, 2027

PLACE

Međugorje

Spend eight nights in Medjugorje on a true pilgrimage of prayer, reflection, and encounter. Traveling during May—the month dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary—offers a special opportunity to deepen our devotion to Our Lady in one of the world’s best-known Marian pilgrimage sites. Coinciding with Mother’s Day weekend in the United States, this pilgrimage also provides a meaningful opportunity to honor our mothers, remember those who have gone before us, and entrust ourselves and our families to Mary’s loving intercession.
Guided by an exceptional local guide who has lived in a nearby village since the earliest days of the reported apparitions, you’ll gain firsthand insight into the region’s history and spiritual life. Along with prayer on Apparition Hill and Cross Mountain and participation in the evening prayer program at St. James Church, you’ll discover that the story of Medjugorje extends far beyond the village itself.
Unlike many pilgrimages that remain almost entirely within Medjugorje, this journey invites you to discover the rich Catholic heritage of Herzegovina through extraordinary encounters and unique experiences. Travel through the beautiful countryside to historic shrines and villages, visit the Shrine of the Croatian Martyrs and the Shrine of St. Anthony, visit one of Herzegovina’s beautiful waterfalls and enjoy a traditional local lunch beside its rushing waters, share authentic local cuisine in a centuries-old cottage that holds an important place in the region’s Catholic history, and encounter the people whose lives and ministries have been shaped by Medjugorje—including the Holy Father’s representative in Medjugorje, local Franciscans, visionaries when available, and other faithful men and women whose personal stories offer a deeper understanding of the region’s enduring faith.
As Our Lady is reported to have said on June 26, 1981, “I have come because there are many true believers here. I wish to be with you to convert and to reconcile the whole world.” Through these extraordinary encounters and unique experiences—especially by stepping beyond Medjugorje itself—you will begin to understand more deeply what Our Lady meant by “true believers,” and why this region continues to be a place of prayer, conversion, and hope for pilgrims from every corner of the world.
